Free Software Volunteer wanted

Published 2007-01-16 in sections English, Digital World, Ghana.

I have returned from my travels (see yesterday’s post, in Germany only, sorry) and will continue to work at the Kofi Annan Center this week before I return to Germany on the weekend. I must have made a relatively good impression here, as now the director, Dorothy Gordon, is looking for another interested geek that would be interested to come to Ghana for 6 to 12 month and help with the development of Free Software here.

Not much is fixed yet, so you can propose your own project ideas, if you have one. Also, the issue of funding is open, as the centre’s resources are limited. If any corporate sponsors would be willing to help, please stand up

If you are interested, please send me an e-mail and I will give you the director’s contact to discuss the idea.

Comments

It would be interesting to find out more about this when it get clearer.

There is not more to become clearer – anything else will be discussed when someone shows interest, directly with the centre’s director. If you are vaguely interested, just say so, no obligation to buy :-)
